Chalooo started with a handful of friends, one jeep and a stubborn habit of chasing sunrises. What began as weekend trips to Kolukkumalai turned into a community of thousands who would rather sleep in a tent than a hotel lobby.
We run climbs, campouts and college trips across the Western Ghats, and longer trips north — Kashmir, Kasol, Hampta Pass and the snow summits. Small batches, local guides, honest pricing and no crowded-bus tourism. You bring the shoes — we handle permits, food, tents, transport and the route.

What began as one jeep and a handful of friends chasing the Kolukkumalai sunrise is now a community of thousands — and Basith is still the one on the ridge at 4am, counting head torches and making sure the last person up gets the same welcome as the first.
He built Chalooo on a stubborn idea: that a trip should feel like going out with friends who happen to know the mountain, not like being processed by a tour desk. Small batches. Local guides. Prices he'll say out loud. And a phone that actually gets answered.
The Kolukkumalai sunrise was unreal. Jeep ride at 3am, tea at the top, clouds below us. The crew handled everything and still made it feel like a trip with friends.
Went for the Vagamon camping with six friends. Tents were clean, food was proper, and the bonfire went on till 2am. Booked the next one before we reached home.
